Gurdwara Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Leiscester, UK has been one of the oldest Gurdwara in Leicester.

This building came into existence since from 1986-87. And since from the beginning with the grace of Guru Sahib this is the first choice for sangat due to the hardwork of the sewadars and committee members.

IT IS A COMMITMENT

This manifesto has been prepared very carefully and keeping in mind the necessities of the Sikh community as a whole in general and young Sikh generation in particular. Intellectual and scholars have considered very carefully the religious, social and cultural necessities of the Sikh society.

We as the representatives of the Sikhs in Leicester have come a long way in creating this Gurdwara as the biggest institution in u.k. and now is the time to move forward to consider the other needs of the Sikh Nation as has been presented in our manifesto. We request you to read them, think about them and vote for them to give us the chance to fulfill our promises.

1. To create a Sikh help line To guide and assist our youngsters about the problems they face in the schools, colleges and universities concerned with our Religion, social and cultural activities. We will create a five members based team to resolve various issues taking then with education and other concerned authorities.

2. Marriage Bureau we will create a Sikh marriage bureau for the facilitation of the Sikh society

3. Community Hall On the happy occasion of marriage we are going to construct a marriage hall which will have a capacity of 1000 sangat to sit and enjoy the occasion. This will particularly benefit the vegetarian families.

4. Community Court We are going to create a community court with the help of our members, to sort out the family matters, which can be resolved amicably.

5. Indoor Sports Centre our own sports centre to promote the sports within the community.

6. F.M.Radio On the commemoration of the tri centenary of Siri guru Granth Sahib we are going to have this radio for five years.

We appeal to Sikh voters to come forward, support, vote and elect our team who has got THE VISOIN, THE WISDOM to look into future and establish the Sikh community as a force in the modern world.
